To provide medical services to children/youth in child welfare system.
REPORTS TO:
Director of Medical/29iSUPERVISES:
Collaborates with Medical and Clinical Teams
Responsibilities:
o Manage and ensure full compliance with Article 29i, Article 31, ACS, DOH, and OCFS policies.
Correct and report and report any variances.
o Responsible for the supervision of the clinic activities to ensure that all medical visits and encounters are in compliance with the agency procedures.
o Monitor and track caseload and oversee cases in the region to meet timeframes of the regulatory agencies.
o Assist in triage of patients, perform venipuncture, perform vision and hearing screening, administer immunizations as ordered.
o Provide any necessary or mandated nurse screenings and counseling, provide appropriate, related education or literature to children and families as required.
o Must demonstrate computer literacy, create, and maintain the Electronic Health Record (EHR) for each child/youth and complete documentation of all health services rendered in the EHR.
o Utilize and monitor systems to ensure that all children and youth receive the required and necessary health services within the mandated timeframes.
o Ensure that appointments for referrals with community providers are made and that reports from the encounters with off-site providers are obtained in a timely manner, reviewed by the agency health care provider, and scanned into the medical record.
The reason for missed appointments must be documented and missed appointments must be rescheduled.
Coordinate dental sessions with dental vendor.
o Work closely with casework/social work staff to assure that required consents for routine/emergency care, preplanned medical procedures and psychotropic medication are obtained within mandated timeframes.
o Assist in implementing and maintaining an efficient quality assurance/Continuous Quality Improvement system and to monitor on-going compliance.
o Ensure that medical records contain documentation of all required adolescent risk assessments and STD risk reduction/family planning counseling.
o Enter health information data onto data entry forms as required and forward to IT specialist for data entry in a timely manner.
o Interface with Vaccine for Children Program and NYCIR.
Ensure vaccines are appropriately stored/monitored and that information on all vaccines administered, is entered into the NYCIR and the EHR on a timely basis.
Obtain historical immunization information when available.
o Complete camp, WIC, adoption, school, and any other medical forms as required.
o Monitor health and mental health care information and ensure ongoing case manageo Respond to telephone calls and other communication and take appropriate action.
o Participate in managing the offices so that it meets or exceeds DOH, Article 29i, Article 31 OSHA standards and is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
o Attend and participate in related meetings, including but not limited to staff meetings, FTC's, Clinical Planning Conference and Treatment Team Meetings.
o Assist with special projects when required and perform any other duties as assigned by your supervisors.
REQUIREMENTSo Holds a Nurse Practitioner Degree (NP) from a recognized school.
o Licensed Nurse Practitionero Current knowledge of OSHA regulationso 2 years clinical experience in pediatricso Knowledge of or experience in foster care or similar pediatric populationso Computer proficiencyo Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbout the Company:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
